Religious and Moral Education
Religious and Moral Education enables students to explore the world's major religions and views which are independent of of religious beliefs. If any parent/carer wishes to withdraw their child from RME and Religious Observance in the school, they should contact Mr Speedie, DHT in the first instance.
It allows consideration of the challenges posed by these beliefs and values. Learning in this curricular area allows students to develop and reflect upon their own values and their capacity for moral judgement. It allows an awareness and appreciation of the value of each individual in a diverse society and engenders responsible attitudes towards others. This awareness and appreciation allows us to challenge prejudice and intolerance.
