West Lothian School Sports League
The West Lothian Secondary Schools Sports League involves all 11 secondary schools in West Lothian competing against each other in various sporting competitions throughout the year for the Gordon Ford Trophy.
The activities include rugby, handball, basketball, netball, swimming, cross country, golf, table tennis, giant heptathlon, football, dance, gymnastics and athletics.
The aim of the league is to provide sporting competition for West Lothian students and to increase participation in sport both in and outwith school.
Armadale Academy recognises the importance of sport and the educational benefits it can bring. As a result The School of Sport was set up at Armadale Academy to allow a small number of students extra time to practice as a team in and outwith school with the hope of developing their life skills and creating a strong sporting team to compete in the West Lothian.
