Sciences

Science and its applications play an important part in our everyday lives at work, at leisure and in the home. Scotland has a proud heritage in this area and science remains central to our economic future and to our health and wellbeing as individuals and as a society.

Learning in this curricular area supports students to develop an interest and understanding of the living, material and physical world.

Students engage in a wide range of collaborative investigative tasks which allows the development of important skills.  This in-turn develops creative, inventive and enterprising young people preparing them for a world where skills and knowledge of the sciences are needed in all economic sectors.
