Activities in the library

Clubs 

Book Group

 Our pupil book group meets once a week in the library at lunchtime. We talk about books we love and also shadow the YOTO Carnegie Book Award and the Royal Society Young People's Science Book Award. We have also participated in the Barrington Stoke Young Editors scheme, which means we can give our opinion about books before they've even been published!

There is also a staff book group which meets once a term.

 

 

 

Dungeons and Dragons

Our Dungeons and Dragons group meets every Friday after school and is very popular, with a great mix of players from beginners to our experienced Dungeon Masters.

Events

National Poetry Day, Book Week Scotland, Burns Night, World Book Day, Star Wars and many more literary events are celebrated throughout the year. 

We visit the Edinburgh International Book Festival regularly and often have visiting authors and storytellers. More information is available on the Library blog.
