Active Minds - Senior Phase Club

Active Minds - Senior Phase Club

Following feedback from students, we are introducing a new after school club for senior phase pupils.  The overall aim of the club is to improve their health and wellbeing with a particular emphasis on the benefits of physical activity for mental health.  We have deliberately focused this club in the time before and during the exam period.  This is not to compete with pupils' studies but rather to promote the importance of physical activity and the benefits that this can bring to their emotional wellbeing which, in turn, can benefit their studies.  The club will be run in partnership with a local personal training company, Personal Best, and will take the form of kickboxing for the first 6 weeks.  The club is suitable for anyone from absolute beginners to those who already participate in kickboxing.  There is a sign up sheet outside the Active Schools office (near main reception) and any interested pupils are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.  There will be a maximum of 20 spaces which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.  If any pupils have questions then they can speak with Karen or Kelly, Active Schools Coordinators.  Active Minds - Senior Phase Club
